These 17 minute seated chair stretches are great for anyone who wants a relaxing stretching session from a seated position. These stretches are appropriate for all ages. If you can't do a specific stretch, just modify the stretch to one you can do. After the 17 minute session, we'll listen to a guided 3 minute breathing session where we focus on our breath. If you want to continue to do more, you can listen to the music for the last 5 minutes and take time to think about all of the people and things you are grateful for in your life as we end this year and start a new year. Life is busy and sometimes all we need, is to slow down for a few minutes and focus on our bodies and our breathing. Jennifer Innes will guide you through this simple 3 minute breathing space. After the breathing space, I have included another 2 1/2 minutes of the view along with the sounds of nature. Try this out every day for a week and see how you feel after the week. In this program, day 4 is designed to be a rest day. But, stretching is basically resting and it is so important as well to work on flexibility! With the interval training program, day 4 is created to be a day off but I feel it's also a good opportunity to focus on stretching. For those of you who still want to work out today, you can add on a short cardio workout. Just remember, tomorrow is a 60 minute workout and you don't want to overdo it today. In today's video, we are just going to do some simple floor stretches. If you can't get onto the floor, you can modify a lot of the exercises and do them from a chair, too.
